Collection One

Farsi Salwar

The wide, softly gathered cut that predates the churidar, made up in chanderi, khadi and mulmul, and finished by hand at the hem.

Limited Edition

Scrunchies

Cut from the ends of the bolt: brocade, raw silk and ajrakh left over from the larger pieces. Each run is numbered, and when a fabric is gone it is not repeated.

Just In

New Arrivals

The most recent pieces to reach the studio, from workshops in Kota, Jaipur and Chanderi.

Handwoven silk in the studio

The Atelier

Sourced by hand, in small numbers

Vasanti began with a single trunk of saris kept back from a family loom. We still buy the way that trunk was filled: a few pieces at a time, direct from the weaver, and only what we would wear ourselves.

It means the collection is small and it sells out. We would rather that than fill a warehouse with cloth nobody chose.
